Manchester/SalfordManchester and Salford have vibrant popular cultures as well as a rich architectural and industrial heritage. Manchester has the largest cultural industry economy in the country after London, and the sector has grown by almost a third in the last 10 years. The region has pioneered creative approaches to teaching and learning, and has already shown how, when creativity and learning go hand in hand, they reinforce each other, push up standards and improve aspiration. Creative Partnerships Manchester Salford aims to enhance the achievement, motivation, creative skills and employability of young people, helping them to respond successfully to future life challenges and become active citizens of our creative cities. We currently work with 15 lead schools across the two Children's Services, which include primary, secondary and special school settings. We support the development and delivery of high quality, evidenced-based arts and creative activities, which take place across the whole school and curriculum. We develop and support projects that, through consultation with young people themselves, are relevant and motivational, and put the development of their imagination and ideas at the heart of their learning process. We aim to facilitate and contribute to networks and events, to share the learning and models from our programmes widely across the education, creative and cultural sectors, and to promote discussion, debate and collaboration, opening up new resources and further opportunities for creative learning for young people. If you are a creative practitioner you can join our database by downloading the following forms: Partner data form And send it to the Creative Partnerships Manchester Salford office. This database is open for schools to use and you must have an enhanced CRB check to join. Although we are currently not taking on any more funded schools at present you can still access a wide range of resources that we have available: For more information please contact Claire O'Brien, Operations Manager at the address or telephone number below:: Latest news
