Merseyside

On Merseyside, two decades of regeneration initiatives have generated a sophisticated understanding of the role that culture and creativity can play in social, environmental and economic development. This tradition has continued with Liverpool's designation as European Capital of Culture in 2008. The region boasts some major cultural institutions, including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, FACT - the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology, the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatres, the Unity Theatre, Tate Liverpool, National Museums Liverpool, Liverpool Biennial and the Bluecoat. Creative Partnerships Merseyside plays a crucial role in helping children on Merseyside realise their full potential and achieve rewarding careers in local industry.

Creative Partnerships Merseyside needs Creative Agents
Creative Partnerships Merseyside (CPM) works in response to school need, supporting delivery of the national curriculum. Cross-curricular creativity and innovation are at the heart of our programmes and we need a team of Creative Agents to work on a freelance basis with 55 new schools across Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens, Wirral and Halton. We aim to extend the opportunities of existing Creative Agents and recruit new Creative Agents to work on the national Creative Partnerships programme from September 2008.

A Creative Agent could be from any background but must be a strong communicator who can promote teaching and learning for creativity. Please see the attached recruitment and selection process document, which outlines the role in more detail. If you wish to apply, please complete and return the application forms listed below by 12.00pm on Thursday 15 May 2008.
