SloughSlough is a town vibrant in social, cultural, linguistic and religious diversity. Creative Partnerships works in a range of ways with schools and creative partners in Slough and increasingly in the Thames Valley sub-region. Our approach is to initiate, to introduce and to be responsive. We consider the quality of our relationships to be a key feature of our approach. Projects and programmes of work begin with conversations which involve members of our team and enable a clear strategic vision. Flagship elements of our programme include the Creative Citizenship strand of work, Creative Learning OutDoors (CLOD) and Science, Passion and Creativity. Next on the horizon for us is the Slough Science Carnival - an ambitious inter-cultural and inter-curricular programme of partnerships involving 20 or more schools in 2006-7! We are proud of the way our work has contributed to the development, in and around Slough, of a creative community of practitioners who have an active interest in the creative learning and who are helping to shape the ambitions of young people. The local authority, the museum, the library and local arts venues are all vigorous partners in driving the creativity agenda forward.
