Inside Out - growing, recycling and creating natural habitats.
One of the images printed on large format canvas from designs produced in association with the children of East Stour Primary School.
The Inside Out project aimed to connect the quality of learning in the classroom with the qualities of our external/natural environment. The project also aimed to create new areas of interest, and a variety of external spaces that could be used for different activities. Students were encouraged to connect their lives with the natural world, by growing, recycling and creating natural habitats.
Working with artist Peter Stockton-Smith, 'Inside Out' looked at outdoor space at the school and beyond, and how it could be developed and used to encourage creative learning. In doing so, 'Inside Out' combined learning in the classroom with the natural environment.
