How can we develop our pupils higher order thinking skills using creative approaches to teaching ad learning?

Summary

This project investigates the impact of creative approaches on higher order thinking skills. Teachers from several subject areas will work with practitioners to create a case study, facilitated by Mathilda Joubert who will help develop dimensions of the project and give a strong pedagogical imperative to the work.

Aims

  • For teachers to develop an understanding of how to teach higher order thinking skills with particular reference to the QCA PLTS ad use the info to pilot what a new school curriculum might look like.
  • To improve learning outcomes of a pilot group of year 7 and 8 pupils.
