Creative Partnerships London North (now known as A New Direction) publishes work of 23 schools

Over the last three years, Creative Partnerships London North (now known as A New Direction) has worked with over 70 schools in the north London boroughs of Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest. Making Waves is a new publication that shares the learning of 23 of these schools. It aims to pass on supportive and flexible ways of working that enable schools to develop their own creativity and achieve school improvement. An example of what the schools have learnt is the importance of involving children in projects from the outset. Another is the value of asking questions as a way of involving people from across the school community in a non-threatening way in order to address an area of change. The publication focuses on three particular areas of school improvement: Creative Curriculum, Creative Environment and Pupils as Partners.
