CCE’s ‘Tell Us Bus’
The Mighty Creatives (TMC) have an exciting opportunity for up to six young people to tour the East Midlands with CCE’s ‘Tell Us Bus’.
The ‘Tell us Bus’ is an exciting, interactive, customised tour bus designed to fire up young people’s imagination and inspire them to participate in a range of workshops and activities.
It will be driving around the country asking young people what they think about creativity and culture this summer.
The bus will attract lots of young people who want to take part in the exciting creative activities on board. All the activities and discussion sessions on the bus will be led by young people – Young Facilitators in fact, and we are now looking for energetic, enthusiastic and supportive young people to take on this role.
Young facilitators
We are looking for a team of up to six Young Facilitators to travel around the East Midlands with the Tell Us Bus on 7, 8 and 9 July.
These Young Facilitators will lead groups of young people in their activities on the bus during the two and a half days that it is with us in the East Midlands. The Facilitators will get full training, and will be supported by our ‘Tell Us Bus’ facilitator, Daisy Edwards, and other members of CCE and TMC, and we will be responsible for your safety and comfort on the days.
There will be four or five activity sessions each day, and these will each be about an hour long (except for 7 Kuly, which is only an afternoon session). It will be hard work, but it will be fun, and a really fantastic experience!
Who are we looking for?
The Mighty Creatives need young people to be young facilitators in the East Midlands. We are looking for young people between 11-19 years-old who:
- Are good at encouraging others to talk and to work with others;
- Are warm, welcoming and friendly;
- Are confident enough to talk to people, and talk in front of groups;
- Are interested in finding out what other people think;
- Are good at listening to other people;
- Have lots of energy;
- Are interested in being creative and taking part in cultural experiences;
- Have opinions, want to share them and encourage others to do the same.
Schedule
Recruitment of young facilitators – April / May
Training of Young Facilitators – May / June (dates and places to be confirmed)
Delivery of sessions on board the bus – pm on 7 July and all day on 8 and 9 July
What you get
Each young facilitator will receive free training so that they are fully prepared for their role. The Mighty Creatives will pay for your travel, and your lunches on days that you are with us.
You will also receive a certificate of achievement that recognises your training and what you have done during your time facilitating sessions on the bus. CCE are also offering a small reward for all your help on their ‘Tell Us Bus’, and the opportunity to maybe present your finding to government ministers in London.
