Centre for Urban Education

The Centre for Urban Education (CUE) works with children, young people and their families, and the professionals concerned with their education and care, in urban contexts in Greater Manchester, the North West of England and internationally.

We seek to:

  • Raise the aspiration and achievement of learners
  • Provide expertise and promote innovation in urban education and develop urban professionals to support urban learners

We do this by promoting a positive approach to the challenges of living and learning in urban contexts. We offer opportunities in partnership with a number of other organisations including businesses and government funded bodies and our international partner schools and local authorities and universities.

Our services include:

  • Action planning and project management
  • Evaluation and research
  • Brokering of cross-sectoral partnerships
  • Facilitation of networks and action learning sets
  • Creative Consultation
  • Professional learning programmes
  • Training events, conferences and seminars
  • Celebratory and sharing the learning events with our partners and participants
  • Consultancy and advisory services - including whole school change, setting up student action teams, curriculum design, engaging learner voice.
