London North
Creative Partnerships London North will create a climate in which sustainable and creative change can happen. We will do this by: - exploring opportunities for the development of ideas with participants at the centre of their own learning; and - engaging young people, teachers, support staff, headteachers, families and communities in partnership with creative individuals and creative and cultural organisations. We are currently working with 13 core schools and 25 associate schools in the boroughs of Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest. Making Waves: Creative Partnerships London North publishes work of 23 schools Over the last three years, Creative Partnerships London North has worked with over 70 schools in the north London boroughs of Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest. Making Waves is a new publication that shares the learning of 23 of these schools. It aims to pass on supportive and flexible ways of working that enable schools to develop their own creativity and achieve school improvement. An example of what the schools have learnt is the importance of involving children in projects from the outset. Another is the value of asking questions as a way of involving people from across the school community in a non-threatening way in order to address an area of change. The publication focuses on three particular areas of school improvement: Creative Curriculum, Creative Environment and Pupils as Partners.
