Creative Exhibits

Following the success of last year’s exhibition, Creative Partnerships, Thames Gateway is holding another display of photographs and work from the many varied programmes taking place in schools across the Basildon and Thurrock areas.

The exhibition will take place in the Central Atrium of the Lakeside Shopping Centre in Thurrock from Thursday 4 - Sunday 7 October. On show will be information about all the Creative Partnerships programmes currently running in schools. Visitors can meet Creative Partnerships staff, watch dvd’s of many of the projects, pick up a Creative Partnerships newsletter, read about the What’s School For? programme at Gable Hall School and record their own views about that topic.

Creative Partnerships works to give schoolchildren throughout England the opportunity to develop their potential, their ambition, their creativity and imagination through sustainable partnerships with creative and cultural organisations, businesses and individuals. It has been running now for two years in Basildon and one in Thurrock. In that time, Creative Partnerships, Thames Gateway has worked with over 35 schools and more than 100 artists to deliver amazing programmes that have enabled schools to built bio-spheres, make commercials, write novels, create giants, learn to dance, drum, run a newspaper, open a gallery space, visit advertising agencies, lead parades, create carnivals and celebrate their diverse and incredible talents.
