Creative Partnerships Derby is looking for up to 6 experienced practitioners and 6 inspiring mentors from Black and Ethnic Minority (BME) backgrounds practising in Derby or Derbyshire, to participate in a training programme to extend their art-form practice and develop their ability to work in educational and participatory settings. The StepUP programme offers access to an opportunity to BME artists to extend their practice which will in turn enrich the multicultural life of Derby. Creative Partnerships Derby is partnering with Derby City Council’s Arts and Events Team and a range of partner organisations from the creative industries and education sectors as part of their commitment to diversity, to offer a programme that will provide training and development opportunities for practitioners from BME backgrounds. The partner organisations are Quad, CIN, Apples and Snakes, Mainstream Partnership and Creative Launchpad. This work will be supported by Sally Lemsford for Creative Partnerships Derby working with the project management team.
