This February, pupils from Anston Park Juniors worked with young entrepreneurs to create an imaginative financial literacy resource that will help other children to understand and benefit from the enterprise activity at their school. The youngsters were taking part in a Creative Partnerships BDR funded workshop – part of an innovative enterprise learning programme. The workshops aim to highlight the concepts of being enterprising and creativity has been identified as a key quality for a successful entrepreneur. The pupils worked in groups to produce colourful and creative pages for the resource, which will include instructions on how to use it effectively, a glossary of key enterprise terms, images and inspiring designs. Local entrepreneur Katrina-Robinson Brown was on hand to help the children with designs and business language. Katrina noted their determination and creativity, “This activity is allowing the pupils to be creative and they get a real buzz out of knowing that other youngsters will benefit from their hard work.” Talented graphic designer, Bob Sanderson will now join the team to mentor and advise on making the production process happen. |
