Synopsis

Creative Partnerships and Aim Higher have joined forces to establish a model of how creative learning and teaching can enhance and engage young people's education and offer a route to developing a career in the creative industries via higher education and undergraduate placement schemes.

This will be achieved through masterclasses by creative industry practitioners within Higher Education, advising learners of progression opportunities into creative careers, staff development and dissemination.

Creative Partners for Progression (CP4P) aims to develop a model illustrating how creativity can facilitate an engagement with and enhancement of learning, and equip young people for employment within the creative industries.

It is intended to improve aspiration, attainment and progression to Higher Education by:

  1. brokering a partnership between Creative Partnerships and Aim Higher.
  2. raising aspirations of students in Years 9 and 10 through creative programmes.
  3. raising attainment of students in Years 9 and 10 through creative programmes.
  4. raising attainment of students in Years 9 and 10 through an undergraduate placement scheme.

This will be achieved through master classes by creative industry practitioners within Higher Education, advising learners of progression opportunities into creative careers, staff development and dissemination.
