Synopsis
Promoting a feeling of cohesion and belonging in the school through use of the creative arts addressed how the Pupil Referral Unit can operate more effectively in the whole school setting (a very mixed school, spread over 2 sites and 3 buildings, comprising about 100 students pupils with BESD and SEN.) Performance poetry and film, along with the artistic skills of school staff, particularly in english, art and music, has been used to take students and staff through a shared creative process.
