Alan Fletcher / CP Leicester. Amazozo Project, Ash Field School & Leicester Comedy Festival working with Architects of Air.
Synopsis
Amazozo is the latest Luminarium to be designed by Architects of Air and is an intricate exploration of art and form, made up of 60 triangular domes which create a wondering path and a range of colours. Leicester Comedy Festival brought the structure to Ash Field School and it's pupils, providing them with a unique experience, set against the backdrop of their usual environment. During the course of three days, pupils were able to contribute their very own Ash Field soundtrack, attend movement workshops, invite their family and friends to see the Luminarium, relax inside it and explore it. The Luminarium provided a stimulus to school staff, creative practitioners and pupils to explore learning. Teachers delivered lessons as part of the Science curriculum and Salamanda Tandem facilitated dance workshops in response to the new environment. Time within the programme was also created for relaxation in response to the Young Consultants participation in the planning process.
