Creative Partnerships comprises a complex programme of creative learning opportunities intended to develop and mainstream creative teaching and learning, and result in a changes across the school, the curriculum and the wider community.
Creative Partnerships programmes are designed to challenge and develop learning practice by:
- exploring creative risk-taking and innovation
- exploring what education for the 21st century might be
- evidencing and disseminating methodologies for creative learning
- developing the capacity of the cultural and creative sectors to work effectively in schools
A full programme of research is underway at local and national level. A primary purpose of the research, evaluation and evidence programmes is to identify how Creative Partnerships addresses the aims, objectives and outcomes identified in the Policy Framework. These aims are addressed across three interconnected strands of activity:
- a national evaluation of the pilot phase of Creative Partnerships
- local research projects investigating research questions of interest to individual Creative Partnerships
- local evaluation of individual projects, using the Partnerships for Learning approach
Here are some examples of the projects. As any project is completed, details of the research results will be given on this page.
